Valley of the Moon spirits bottle
Cheers!
Something To Whine About makes a variety of serving trays and spoon rests made from recycled glass bottles.

Glass bottles are melted and transformed into beautiful pieces that can be used as trays, platters, spoon rests, or simply a meaningful souvenir. The bottle's original silk screened labels and the handy hook we place in the bottle lend a decorative touch as well.
Find that perfect gift for a host, house warming, wedding, or any special occasion and give everyone Something To Whine About.
About the Craftswoman
Makayla Solis,
owner and crafter of Something To Whine About, is the proud mother of two riotous
children under 6. Husband Eric, is the happy hooker of the crew, making the hangers
for the trays. In addition to this fulfilling role, Makayla has one of those corporate
jobs too. Something To Whine About allows her to tap into her creative
side while also staying true to Mother Earth by crafting her unique wares from
recycled glass materials.
The Process
![]() |
Glass projects are fired to 1200-1700° F. The individual pieces must be heated and cooled at different rates based on varying size and thickness of the glass to ensure the results are solid and durable. This process can take anywhere from five to seven hours. On average, each piece created takes seven hours to fire and seven hours to cool. Fused glass is very durable and dishwasher safe. |
